“THE HIGHER HE CLIMBS THE HIGHER HE SEES. THE HIGHER HE SEES THE HIGHER HE DREAMS.”
Ludovica Lugli is a contemporary artist whose vibrant works weave threads of personal history, cultural heritage and a wide range of artistic influences, from film to photography outline her path. Although the Rome-born artist graduated with degrees in Communications Science and Psychology, she then attended the Rome St. James School of Ornamental Arts and the Roman School of Photography in order to learn as many techniques as possible to develop her art and put no brakes on her creativity. In fact, she does not like the label of “painter” ‘decorator’ or “photographer,” for her, technique is just a medium with which to create worlds. And so she goes from digital, to painting to collages to large wall decorations without respite with the only common thread being her passion for the surrealist current. So in his works we see animals perfectly set in domestic situations, women whose faces are taken away by colors, feathers or orange slices.
His themes always deal with a reflection on the little sensitivity of today’s human being to pause to look, to listen to empathize with the other. Currently, his graphics distributed by Rosini Art are printed and distributed in several Italian and European galleries.
